Mike, I'm not sure how long this has been posted, or if you've had much response. I'm a Java programmer relatively new to Groovy and Grails and am using them on a current project.

Mike, I am the lead author of Beginning Groovy and Grails. I live in Columbus as do my co-authors. We would be willing to come speaker at your group or to just speak to try to gather interest in the group and technology. I frequently give the presentation found at http://www.juddsolutions.com/downloads/Agile%20Development%20with%20Groovy%20and%20Grailsx.pdf but I could also do something on Grails and iPhone, meta pramming with groovy, unit testing with groovy or just about any other Groovy and Grails topic you would be interested in.
