Submitted By: Søren Berg Glasius |Proposal in Northern Virginia
The Northern Virginia area is home to a very active IT community, which services Washington D.C. and its surrounding area. Called "Silicon Valley East" (prior to the Tech bubble popping at least), the area is home to many tech firms and most major IT vendors have an office in the area. Key areas are along the "Dulles Corridor" - the main highway leading out of the Dulles airport (Washington D.C.'s busiest airport) and includes the cities of Dulles (home to AOL), Herndon, Reston, and Tysons Corner.
